Wax It Off

We've seen some movies and heard some stories.  Here are some common questions you may have about waxing.

    Q. How does waxing hair removal work?
A. A wax combination is spread thinly over the skin. A cloth strip is pressed on the top and then ripped off with a quick movement removing the wax along with the hair and dead skin cells leaving the skin smooth.

    Q. Is waxing painful?
A. When it comes to the eternal question of pain,  everyone has a different threshold so there’s no right answer here but pain killers taken around one hour before any waxing treatment can help reduce any pain you may experience. If you are a wax virgin then you may find it slightly more uncomfortable at first. The discomfort will be greatly reduced during the second appointment, which must be within 4 weeks. Each  appointment gets easier as the skin becomes accustomed to waxing and fewer hairs are removed.

   Q. Why is waxing hair removal better than other hair removal methods?
A. Because, as opposed to other hair removal methods, can be applied to any skin color and is generally  considered safer and less expensive. Most waxing procedures are less time consuming than other methods.

Q. How long should hair be before waxing?
A. Hair should be about ¼-½ inch to achieve a smooth, and clean removal.

  Q. How long before hair reapers?
A. Generally between 4 to 6 weeks. Less hair grows  and is finer. It all depends on you hair growth as cycles vary for everyone.
